Renata is a Brazilian architect based in the Okanagan in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. After 15 years practicing architecture in Brazil, Spain, and Canada, Renata changed her pace of life and spent a year travelling.
The experience re-shaped her perspectives and allowed her to shift her focus towards a different path. After returning to Canada, she began to explore her artistic side through drawing.
Renata’s work is instinctive and playful. She is inspired by her love of nature, sense of humor and architectural experience. Her drawings are a combination of geometric patterns, organic forms and whimsical characters. Most of her work is black and white, influenced by her architectural drawing background.
To keep the experience fun, Renata invites viewers to find her signature, which is integrated in all of her drawings in different ways.
